Kinesiology

Kinesiology has many facets, but fortunately only two are used in basic essence testing. Both seek the body's response, like dowsing to a Yes or No question.

The first method involves finger circuit testing. Create a circuit by holding together the tips of thumb and little finger. If this feels awkward use thumb and index finger. If you are right-handed, make the circuit with your left hand, or vice-versa.

You have just made an electrical circuit. You can check it for positive Yes and negative No responses like this: using the thumb and index finger of your other hand, like opening a pair of scissors, try and force the circuit open. Ask 'Please show me a Yes' as you do it. Now compare your response to a No. The two should be different. As with dowsing, take care not to cross your legs. Most people's Yes is when the circuit opens easily (the body feels relaxed), and their No is when the circuit cannot be forced open. Some people have the opposite. Just like dowsing, there is also a Maybe, which generally appears as a No-Yes.

The second method involves applying light downwards pressure to an outstretched arm. The arm is held horizontally out from the body, and light pressure from another person as a question is asked will produce a response. The response is either to remain strong, with the arm unmoved by the pressure, or to become weak, in which case the arm is unable to resist the other person's light pressure. In this method the novice can weaken very quickly, and thus obtain misleading results. If you wish to learn this method, ask the help of a kinesiologist.
